Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival welcomes visionary performances alongside exhilarating exhibitions, from Friday 26th to Sunday 12th October.
Angela Cockayne creates provocative sculptures made from flotsam and jetsam washed up on our shore, pictured above. Her work will be on display throughout the Bournemouth Natural Science Society Open Weekend (Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October).
Joining up with Arts University Bournemouth, we bring the Bathing Beauties exhibition with different and stylish interpretations of the traditional beach hut design, running from 26th September until 6th November. Including the large-scale work Oyster Pleasance on the Pier Approach in Bournemouth with performances in situ from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th September.
Our Common Ground is a collective exhibition between the Arts University Bournemouth and Northern French universities which will be on display in The Triangle through the Festival, from 26th September to 12th October.
French artist Damien Marchal’s sculptural commission, Borders of the Future, will be a new permanent sculpture in Shelley Park, Boscombe. Watch him create it in person at Shelley Park on Saturday 11th October.
