Drama, music, art and performance – some of this week’s highlights

So much to see and hear.

On Monday 6th October, the music of WW1 comes to St Peter’s Church as Arts Bournemouth Associate Artist, Jack Maguire presents The Trench Composers. On Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th October, Shot at Dawn tells the true story of Dorsetshire soldiers on trial for cowardice – evocatively peformed in the Bournemouth Town Hall Council Chambers.

On Wednesday 8th October, Near Gone – Two Destination is a beautiful bilingual English and Bulgarian performance at Pavilion Dance. For art and nature enthusiasts, writer Philip Hoare and artist Angela Cockayne discuss The Sea Inside – the fragile realtionship between the oceans and ourselves – at the Bournemouth Natural Science Society on Wednesday 8th October.

A crescendo of music arrives on Thursday 9th October with the dramatic music and dance of Jaleo Flamenco at Pavilion Dance or the guitar virtuosity of Carlos Bonell comes to The Shelley Theatre.
