Become part of the Reportage team, get free access to a range of shows and learn how to develop a killer portfolio of reviews as part of this year’s Reportage by the Sea.
Open to writers aged 30 and under, this fantastic opportunity features two days of master classes and evening support sessions. Participants will receive support from industry professionals hailing from The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Herald and The Stage who will teach the necessary skills for crafting, editing and publishing work online and in print.
You’ll find out the right questions to ask, the language to use, and what to look out for when reviewing shows and interviewing cast and performers. You’ll learn how to draft reviews and receive feedback from a support team before submitting work to be published online. There’ll also be advice and practical help setting up a blog that can act as your online platform.
Once training is complete, as part of the Reportage team, you’ll be able to put these new skills in action, with free access to report on allocated live shows and events from this year’s Bournemouth Arts by the Sea programme.
A contribution of £35 is required towards costs for training. Concessions are available for low-income/unwaged. Times and dates for the sessions are soon to be confirmed. For further information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
