Last Man Standing

James Wilton and his world class dancers will take to the stage at Pavilion Dance South West with an exhilarating performance of Last Man Standing, Thursday 30th November, 7.30pm. Along with influences from Terry Prachett’s The Last Hero, Last Man Standing delivers raw energy and a trademark soundtrack of heavy rock.

The work follows a female dancer as her world falls apart. We follow her through a dark tunnel, to find the beauty of the light at the end. Danger, existence and survival all arise in a work about living for the moment and appreciating every second while it lasts. With flying bodies and last minute catches, Last Man Standing is dance driven by unparalleled energy and athleticism.

Last seen in Bournemouth with their performance of Leviathan, James Wilton Dance is fast becoming renowned for exhilarating choreography that leaves you breathless. James’ work draws on martial arts, break dancing and capoeira to create raw, earthy and ground-breaking performance. All of this propelled by a trademark soundtrack of heavy rock, ambient music and textured soundscapes.
