The BSO and Chief Conductor Kirill Karabits welcome winner of the 2017 Horowitz Piano Competition, Jun-Hee Kim for the opening concert of their new season at Bournemouth Pavilion. An evening dedicated to the genius of Beethoven opens with one of his most famous overtures, followed by his First Symphony – referring back to his teachers Haydn and Mozart, but already foreseeing the ground-breaking route that his symphonic works would take. Showing off the astounding talent of Jun-Hee Kim, the second half of the evening features Beethoven’s 4th Piano Concerto and a surprise piano finale – but will it be Beethoven or not?
