NOTICE: This is a free, ticketed show. Due to high demand, early registration for this event is advised. We recommend arriving at the Waterfront arena (the location of the old IMAX cinema near Bournemouth Pier) at least 15 minutes prior to show time. Stewards will be able to guide you to the entrance gate.
Inferno by Walk the Plank
Hear the beat, feel the heat at the seafront Inferno: a bespoke production and unique experience for Arts by the Sea 2016.
This installation will be produced by the outdoor arts specialists Walk the Plank, who are presenting work at the festival for the first time. Their fiery Inferno will include a performance stage and installation adorned with fiery jets, setting a spectacular backdrop to Mr Wilsons Second Liners
– the critically acclaimed 90s rave-come-New Orleans brass band.
Make sure you are stationed in the Waterfront arena – the location for the old IMAX building – on opening night to catch the flickering, mesmerising display. The Inferno spectacular will be joined by the Sea of Freaks torchlit procession
that is led by the band, after they have travelled through the town from the Triangle. This ensemble will reach its finale when it activates the Inferno, triggering a coordinated display of fireballs and music: this experience comes highly recommended and is not to be missed!

October 4 update: Inferno is accessible by ticket only. Tickets are free but there are only a very few left. If you haven’t got yourself a ticket, please note there will be none available on the gates on the night. You will need to book here for your FREE tickets. But hurry, they are being snapped up very quickly.
OCTOBER 6 UPDATE:
Inferno is now completely SOLD OUT.
For those who didn’t manage to get a ticket, you can still watch Torch-lit opening parade which will be making it’s way down through from the Triangle to the Sea Front and there are many other great events at the festival to catch and enjoy!
