Jasmin Edwards

Bournemouth-based circus performer and multi-hoop specialist Jasmin Edwards is our Associate Artist for 2024.

Our Associate Artist scheme invests in the development of local artists and under-represented art forms, providing a platform for rarely showcased art in the region.

Jasmin’s Arts by the Sea piece will include a satirical commentary on women’s roles in both life and art. Using her signature hooping skills, expect her circus magic to be visually spectacular and deep, reflecting on the double standards imposed on women in performance.

As part of her work, Jasmin brings people of all ages and backgrounds together. Her incredible performances to both schools and care homes in the lead up to the festival created emotional as well as physical reactions – so be ready to be moved.
