Project Manager / Producer – CREATE! Trainee Producer Scheme 2026/27

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior Producer to project-manage delivery of the CREATE! Trainee Producer Scheme, delivered by festival partners Arts by the Sea festival, Inside Out Dorset (produced by Activate Performing Arts) and bside festival. In 2026/27 you will be working for this year’s lead partner – Arts by the Sea festival – which is produced and delivered by BCP Council.

 

CREATE! is a free scheme for up to 20 participants from across Dorset, focussing on developing skills in all aspects of delivering outdoor arts. The CREATE! scheme delivers approximately 8 half-day in-person learning sessions covering everything from marketing to budgeting, health & safety and access.

 

This Project Manager/ Producer will help deliver all aspects of the CREATE! scheme, from admin and planning to course development, comms and promotion, participant recruitment, course delivery and evaluation. 

 

APPLICATIONS CLOSE MIDNIGHT 12TH JULY. Interviews Wednesday 15th July. Start date likely to be w/c 3rd August 2026.

Board Member Recruitment

Arts by the Sea is looking for two new Board Members. For an opportunity to be part of the team improving the lives of local people by providing access to creative and cultural activity, read on for more information.

As a member of the board, you will provide strategic governance and oversight to the festival, supporting and challenging the Executive team, have a direct impact on the work the festival delivers and on the creative opportunities available to local people.

You will be expected to attend a minimum of 3 out of 4 board meetings per year, with a time commitment of a minimum of 6 hours per quarter.
