Arts Award

Calling the young and the curious – take the opportunity to complete the nationally-recognised Arts Award while you explore the festival. Perfect for families, Arts Award Discover is the start of your arts journey, helping budding art critics explore, investigate, research the arts around them. As well as developing their knowledge and understanding of the arts, Arts Award Discover boosts children’s creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

Arts Award can be completed over the festival weekend. Children will need to collect their free Arts Award booklet from The Story Works (from 10.00 – 16.00 at Picnic Park Deli in Westover Gardens) or our Information Tent (11:00 – 19:00 in the Lower Gardens) and complete this as they discover and participate in the art all around them.

Once complete, hand your booklet back in to The Story Works or a member of the Arts by the Sea Team. You can also hand back into any BCP Library throughout the first few weeks of October. Once assessed, you’ll be sent a personalised certificate to your school. Not bad for a weekend of fun!
