The Argentine Tango Experience

A creative afternoon giving a brief history of the Argentine Tango featuring photos, an art exhibition, poetry, a FREE Taster class for Beginners, a class for all levels and afternoon dance with tea. There will be an opportunity to talk to the teachers, Leonardo 'Fandango' Acosta - from a Tango family in Buenos Aires and his partner, Tracey Acosta. Leonardo has danced Tango for over 55 years since he was a young boy and is an authentic 'Milonguero' who has dedicated most of his life to learning / teaching and dancing the improvised, social Argentine Tango. The afternoon will run from 2.00-6.00pm. The event seeks to be informative for the general public who may not have heard of the social Argentine Tango and to encourage them to experience this beautiful dance which is for all ages with many health benefits as well as enabling people to connect within the community.
